Pet care experience
I have been walking dogs for the last 11 years. I love dogs of all shapes and sizes, and also am experienced with typical character traits of different breeds. I have always been an animal lover and began pet-sitting at a young age. I also have extensive animal husbandry experience for a variety of small and large animals from working in vet clinics, doggy daycares, and on farms. I really focus on and understand the body language of pets, which means I will take the time to get to know your pet’s personality to find out the best way to interact with them. I specialize in working with large dogs with aggressive tendencies. I look forward to meeting your pet!

I would like to know your dog’s typical behaviors outside, including tendency to dash, comfort level around other people and dogs, and any triggers your dog has. Of course I’d also like to know any medical conditions that require specific care.
A typical day
When I first start working with a dog I make sure to have calm body language and have consistent behaviors so they develop trust. Then I ask them to start listening to me with the commands they already understand and give affirmation so they learn to want my approval. From there we can explore new smells and trails based on your dog’s comfort!

I am a full-time manager for UW-Madison. I am available ALL DAY Tuesday and Friday-Sunday each week. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday I’m available after 4:30pm each week.
