I love your dog but my cats don’t
Pet care experience
I'm from a big family that was always taking in strays so I grew up around dogs, cats, reptiles, rodents, horses, random exotics (hedgehogs, anyone?), basically every kind of animal you can domesticate. I have three cats of my own: two hairless and one hairy. Thanks to the sphynx cats I'm comfortable with a pretty intense feline care routine and can handle bathing, claw trimming, and ear cleaning for cats that need those things regularly. I've had dogs in the past and want to adopt one of my own but while I am a dog person, my cats are not. I would love to be able to spend more time with some pup friends. I enjoy taking walks to explore new places and being able to take dogs with me could only make it better.

Kendra took great care of my cat and sent me the BEST pictures.
Kendra was great! Very knowledgeable and caring for my cat Snickers. She gets the job done, sent me regular pictures and updates, and went above and beyond. Snickers bonded with her, so made me feel comfortable leaving for 5 days. I Highly recommend Kendra.
Kendra is what every dog sitter would be looking for. Someone who is attentive, loves your family member just as much as you, and caring! Brook absolutely loved her time with Kendra. Myself being someone who gets anxiety leaving their family member during a trip or vacation was able to relax and enjoy it knowing she was in great care. The communication was amazing, and the little things down to ensuring a clean home to come home to were just cherry on the top. I would highly recommend Kendra, and hope to have her watch Brook again in the future! Thank you Kendra!

I'm open to your rules: whatever your pets need I am happy to try to accommodate. I own my own home so I am very cognizant of the need to respect other people's spaces. I am also fiercely protective of my own pets. It matters so much to me that animals are treated with absolute care and respect, especially when their family has to leave them in someone else's care. I will treat your pets like my own.
Information Kendra V. would like to know about your pet
I have provided hospice to an elderly dog and am comfortable with the messes that tend to accompany aging pets. I always want to know if a dog has special needs or is just a little quirky. It's most important to me to know how they tend to behave on leash, when around strange dogs, or strange humans. Being informed helps keep everybody safe.
A typical day
Going for walks is one of my main hobbies. We'll definitely be exploring new areas to work out some energy. If there are any trails or low-key hikes in your neighborhood, that's a huge bonus. If you have an outdoor space where dogs can be off leash, I'm happy to throw a ball on repeat for as long as your dog wants to keep bringing it back. I am endlessly entertained by dogs that know tricks, even if it's as simple as "sit".

Availability
I currently work full time from home so my availability for drops in and walks is very open. I am free most weekdays before 9am and after 4pm, and can typically take time away from work midday as well. I'm available for sitting most weekends from Friday after work through Monday early morning.
