I’ve had dogs my whole life (I’m 46) and have been involved with a dog rescue for more than 25 years. I have fostered hundreds of dogs from newborn litters of puppies to seniors that are in “hospice care”. I’m an expert at getting dogs to take their meds and can give shots, including insulin, if needed. Ive never met a dog that I haven’t been able to win over - no matter how skittish or quirky they may be. I can’t imagine life without dogs. I’ve also had cats most of my life, though we don’t have any right now. I’m down to clean cat boxes, etc. We also had a chinchilla for several years so I’m experienced with small furry rodents as well and don’t mind cleaning their cages or handling them. Lastly, my parents have had birds most of my life and now have a 24 year old African Grey parrot that I take care of half the year when they are on cruises. She is a prickly pear but I love her and she’s given me a lot of experience caring for feathered friends.
