Pet care experience
If your dog needs a friend for when you can't be there, I'll be there! I have grown up with dogs and currently have a havanese mix rescued from the streets of West Philly and an adopted jackhuahua. I also have experience working with shelter dogs at the SPCA and have fostered a staffordshire terrier. Dogs are cherished family members and deserve to be treated as such. I can provide that care for your loved ones when you cannot be there. If supplemental dog training is what you need, I can help with that as well! Why I love dogs I was born into a house full of dogs and have loved them since I was able to interact with them. My mom and I lived with my grandparents who had German shepherds and cocker spaniels.
Reviews
Thank you for taking such great care of my cat, and the detailed cards from each visit!
Kendra is our absolute favorite! And the dogs'.
Kendra was absolutely amazing with my 2 pups. She did 2 drop ins for us on our wedding day and left us the sweetest surprise to come home to the next day! Highly recommend, she’s awesome!
Kendra is knowledgeable and a great communicator!

I require a meet and greet for all new clients. The care I will provide for your pets will be determined based on details and information provided at that time. The basics such as potty breaks and fresh water are provided at each visit. Whatever I can fit into the scheduled 30 or 60 minute visits beyond that (such as play time and enrichment) are included. I have a variety of puzzle toys and other fun stuff that I can bring with me if you think your pets would be interested! I have experience with dogs with anxiety and other behavioral issues, so please reach out. Additional fees may apply depending on the level of attention needed.
Information Kendra D. would like to know about your pet
How is the dog with new people? Is he or she friendly with other dogs? Should I bring treats for the initial greeting? What cues do you use with your dogs? I love all dogs; big dogs and pit bulls have a special spot in my heart, but I enjoy being around any breed.
A typical day
Time I'll spend with your dog It depends on the needs of your dog. Some dogs prefer minimal contact and other need lots of attention and activity time. I will discuss this with you and decide what the best plan for your dog is and what types of activities he or she likes best (walking, training sessions, playing fetch, or just hanging out together on the couch, if allowed) Extra house-sitting services I can water plants, bring in mail and newspaper.

Availability
Most of my other work is done remotely, so I am generally quite flexible with times. Late night drop-ins are no problem and my weekends are often spent caring for dogs and cats. I am sometimes able to offer hikes for dogs when my schedule and plans permit.
