Pet care experience
When I lived in Denver, I worked at dog daycares for 4 years, managing large, varied groups of dogs as well as their meals and medications. I worked as a professional dog trainer for a year and have comprehensive knowledge of dog behavior and breeds. I also spent two years working as a receptionist at veterinary clinics, and two years as a professional dog groomer. I worked as a dog bather for a year and then a groomer for another year. I have experience pet sitting up to seven giant breed dogs for one family, and thrive on being surrounded by dogs! I have had dogs my entire life and currently have one of my own, a husky mix named Steve. I used to compete in sports such as agility with my old dogs and hope to get back into it with my current dog soon!

She has worked closely with dogs either in training, grooming, walking and sitting for as long as I have known her and takes this work very seriously. Her knowledge of dogs is incredibly broad and she is passionate about them. You won't find many people better suited to care for your pet than her.

I try to keep every dog’s routine as close to the same as what they experience with their owner to minimize stress. Making sure dogs are safe, comfortable, and relaxed is my top priority! It is very important to me to help keep a dog’s stress levels down, and to build a positive relationship with each pet.
Information Kendall R. would like to know about your pet
I like to have as much information about your dog's likes, dislikes, and quirks as possible, because all dogs are individuals and the better I know them, the better I can make their time with me! I have experience with all kinds of dogs and feel equally comfortable with Chihuahuas as I do with Great Danes, but I have a particular fondness for sporting, herding, and sighthound breeds. There is no such thing as “too much information” for me about your dog(s). I want to know everything you have to tell me so that I can have as much knowledge as possible to build a good relationship with them.
A typical day
It depends on the dog! For active dogs, good walks and games of fetch are great. For older or more docile dogs, there’s nothing wrong with plenty of snuggle time on the couch. I try to adapt to each individual. I have professional training experience, and am willing to discuss incorporating training into your dog’s day, which not only helps their behavior and manners, but provides excellent mental stimulation.

Availability
I do work full time, but can otherwise be exclusively at a client’s house outside of my work hours. I rarely work more than an eight hour shift at one time, so your dog won’t be alone for any longer than that, and often much less time. I do my best to accommodate each pet’s needs!
