Pet care experience
We have shared our neighbors dog for 15 years and I have watched my friends dogs for the past 18 years. Since we have no pets now, we can focus all of our attention on the fur babies that visit us. I have had many long term clients that I watched that were very excited to come and visit us. They had a great time and felt the love we bestowed upon them. Every parent would tell me they would pull on their leash to come up to the house. We had a fun time with my furry clients.

Ken kept me updated throughout my dog’s stay, which was so appreciated. I would recommend him to anyone looking for top quality dog care!
Ken looked after Marley well,and Marley would like to stay with Ken again! Marley and Ken even learned to sing together.
Ken was wonderful with our pup, Yuki! He sent us updates every day which eased our minds and he was very easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend!
Ken was AMAZING with our two dogs while we we away visiting family for a week. He was extremely communicative and sent us regular updates to help ease our mind, and you could tell they both really loved being at his place. When I came to pick them up, they we so relaxed that they hardly noticed I arrived! I would highly recommend him to anyone and definitely feel confident knowing there is a place my dogs genuinely love that I can leave them at where I know they will be well taken care of!

I have a fenced back yard plus lots of room in the house to have fun! We live on a gravel road that is over a mile loop that I will walk your dogs and we are close to a large reserve that we can walk your dogs. If your fur baby is up for a hike, we could do that as well. Lots of room to roam and to play. I like to be active outside if the weather is nice and we have room inside the house if the weather isn't as nice. I will go outside with them when they need to do their business and keep a close eye on them. I know I am responsible for your family members while in my care and I will take care of them like my own and keep them safe.

I will watch most any size dog...prefer small to medium dogs...in Seattle I watched mostly small to medium dogs because we didn't have the room, but our home here is larger and on one level. I prefer dogs that get along with other dogs, but I will watch only one dog at a time if that is an issue. I just need to be aware of it. I may watch another dog at the same time unless you prefer me to only have your dog. This is not a problem for me, just let me know. I have experience giving medications to dogs, taking care of older dogs and watching dogs after surgery. I do want to do a meet and greet before I agree to watching your dog.
A typical day
I love to walk, hike and keep active outside. If your dog is up for hiking, we live close to a reserve that we can keep them very busy. They can roam around our fenced yard or stay inside to keep busy. If they like to play ball or pull on ropes or just sit in our laps and have snuggle time, we are up for all of it. We love to love dogs.

Availability
We moved to Santa Fe area in June of 2022 and are retired now, so will have plenty of time to play and love your fur baby. My partner and I love dogs and will show them a fun, happy time full of love. We may spoil them just a little...ok, more than a little...:)
