FullTime & Flexible Caretaker Here!

Pet care experience

**24/7 x 7 days a week, I’m 100% available to cater to YOUR pet care needs! Currently, no other jobs stand between me and your pets care! Totally ensuring they get the care that you requested! **I have a beautiful and large fenced in yard that is perfect for playtime/exercise and bathroom breaks. Also, I NEVER leave a dog unattended in my yard. Caring for pets is my top priority. I LOVE animals and I thoroughly enjoy helping people, so I am happy to provide a service that involves both. Professionally, I have seven years of animal care taking experience from working at a humane society. Realistically, I have a lifetime worth of experience from growing up on a farm and caring for my own pets since childhood. **Work in a shelter environment allowed me to gain knowledge in every avenue. Sadly, Ive provided care and a safe haven for many awful abuse cases - nursing them back to physical health while also bringing them back around to the fun-loving dogs they deserved to be the entire time! Also, I’ve cared for pets after surgery, from the most minimal of cases (like a spay/neuter) to more extreme surgeries (such as amputations, growth removals, etc.). Furthermore, I am trained to keep an eye out for typical dog illnesses, so I know most of the warning signs for which to be on the lookout. **I can offer nail trims if needed and/or requested **I am very comfortable with doing new dog introductions, as I did it numerous times a day working in a shelter. **I do have cats, but they are in their own separate part of my home and cannot be reached by dogs. **My dogs are extremely friendly and gets along great with everybody! I do have the means to care for dogs that cannot be around other dogs if that is so needed, so do not hesitate to ask if your dog needs the special request! **Extremely experienced in medicating/pilling (including insulin). **Body language of a dog is super important and one of the main ways for them to communicate. I’ve been trained to read when a dog is nervous, scared, angry, excited, happy, etc. so I am able to accommodate my behavior to best ensure they are comfortable the entire time :) I will respect and accommodate a clients request for their dog(s) to stay off furniture if so needed. **I am very confident and experienced with dog sitting/boarding and I am very certain I can offer any client, a reliable and great quality Pet-Sitting service!

Kelsi was awesome! She took great care to make sure that my dog, Stella, was as comfortable as possible while she watched her. Kelsi made sure that Stella’s routine was maintained and that she got plenty of exercise. Kelsi is also very knowledgeable about dogs and I felt confident that she could handle any potential problem or emergency that could arise. All in all, this was a great experience and I’d definitely recommend Kelsi to anyone that needed boarding for their dog.

Kelsi was very sweet to Yazzi. She stayed in touch and sent a picture and brushed her before I picked her up. Thanks Kelsi!

Kelsi was wonderful with our 2 fur babies. We do not put them in daycare or board them very often. They are our babies, so we are very particular. I was impressed with Kelsi's exprience with the humane society and fantastic prior reviews. I needed late doggy daycare, and she was very accommodating. Most doggy daycares expect pickup by 5pm, but Kelsi kept our babies until 8pm. She sent pictures of our babies, and I really appreciated that. I would recommend Kelsi, and would definitely trust her to keep our babies again.

Kelsi took such amazing care of our dog!! He was so happy at her home...it’s definitely the best doggie vacation he has had!! He has a complicated diet for health reasons and she was so understanding about it. And she kept me posted on how he was doing so I didn’t have to worry about him while I was away. Thank you so much Kelsi!!

Information Kelsi T. would like to know about your pet

I have no breed/size preferences. My dogs are good with ANY dog also and I am comfortable with them all. -Mostly, I'd just like to know about a dogs’ mannerism before sitting: what they do/don’t like, what routine they are used to, any particular behavior to be aware of, etc. I'd like to be abe to match their routine as close as possible to keep them comfortable while in a new environment (or with a new sitter). My experience leaves me fully capable of dealing with most anything. I have generally seen it all with my work - from the best cases, to the most unfortunate cases (such as abused dogs, nervous or anxious dogs). I’ve handled it all.

A typical day

In my neighberhood, there is a mile loop that I walk dogs if they require more exercise than playing in my fenced in yard, or if they are not one for playing fetch, or if you prefer to keep a particular routine continued, etc. Fetch is my go-to activity for exercing dogs if they enjoy it. My dog, Brooklyn, gets along with any dog and is good for getting other dogs running around the yard. ***At my full-time job, I’ve had the opportunity throughout my time there to work with a professional, full-time dog trainer. I am happy to share my knowledge with a pet owner on any issues they need assistance with for their pet after the stay. Anything from typical training, to walking techniques, behavior issues, anxiety concerns, etc. ***So during the stay, I practice proper training etiquette/techniques to make for a better and more comfortable stay for all. *My training follows the positive and negative reinforcement technique, as I’ve seen it has the best success rate. If you prefer/follow another technique, just inform me and I can adjust accordingly. :)
