Pet care experience
While many people have experience with certain types of dogs, as a shelter volunteer, I've cared for them all! As a volunteer, I gained experience doing just about everything I could for the dogs. I walked them, trained them, fed them, played with them, gave medicine, and cleaned up after them. I've also fostered quite a bit, although I don't currently have a foster or any pets in the home. I have a deep passion for dogs of all shapes and sizes, but there is a special place in my heart for pit bulls and bully breeds. I always root for the under dog, and I hate that these amazing creatures get such an undeserved bad rap. I have experience with big and strong dogs, and even ones with leash reactivity and mouthiness. I can work with your dog to improve bad behaviors and keep them happy and healthy as well. If you dog doesn't have any bad behaviors to work on, we can focus on having fun and getting all the extra energy out. Either way, we will have a great time together!

Kelsey took excellent care of my pup Sadie while I was away. She was a great communicator, responded quickly and asked thoughtful questions about the best ways to keep Sadie calm and happy. I highly recommend Kelsey & will definitely reach out to her again next time I need a pet sitter.
kelsey did an amazing job at caring for my dog (aka my baby!). i reached out to her specifically bc of her profile stating her love for pitbulls, not everyone is as open to these wonderful pups and i was so happy to find kelsey. she came and met me and my dog before hand to make sure everyone was comfortable and my dog immediately liked her. she was very responsive and sent me cute pics over the weekend, which made it much easier to relax being away! i am so happy to find someone local i feel comfortable taking care of my dog and will definitely be asking Kelsey again in the future! thanks again! :)
Kelsey rocks! After reading about 20 profiles I chose Kelsey because she seemed to have the best experience with reactive dogs. I chose the right person! I have two rescues that have fear of strangers. Often when they meet people they bark or growl. Kelsey was up for the challenge and to my amazement my dogs loved her instantly. That has never happened before. No growls, just love. With that greeting, I left Kelsey in charge of my dogs and my home and she was amazing. She was communicative, on time and honest. She sent pictures of blissful dogs. My mind was set at ease and I got to enjoy my vacation knowing all was well. When I got home, my dogs were happy and my house was as clean as it was when I left. So nice not to have kennel trauma. Thank you Kelsey!

I would like to know how big (it doesn't matter, just to be prepared), Any behavioral issues (dog agression, high prey drive, mouthiness, separation anxiety, accidents in the house, chewing, etc.), favorite activities, favorite treats, dietary needs, medical needs, and anything he or she doesn't like. No breed preference, but I have a huge love for pitties! But I enjoy hanging out with small dogs, big dogs, old, young, any dog really!
A typical day
We will go on walks to wherever your favorite spots are! I love parks but we won’t go to any off-leash areas. It also depends on how hot it is, so during the summer we will probably go somewhere shady with grass. It also depends on how your dog reacts to external factors like other dogs, bikes, people, etc. Every dog has his or her own unique needs so each walk will be tailored to those needs.

Availability
I work remotely in sales and I’m a photographer. I can be around the house most days and generally not gone for more than 4 hours for gym, social outings, etc. Photo shoot days are random, but I wouldn't be gone more than 4-5 hours. Please let me know if your pet has specific requirements!
