Pet care experience
I’m an artist/barista/activist living in McGinley Square with a flexible schedule that allows plenty of time for bonding with your dog on long walks or play-dates. I'm attentive and very communicative, so I'm willing to send many updates from our time together to ease any worries or concerns. I have over 13 years of experience caring for dogs, cats and other critters, most notably an incredibly sweet senior dog needing diligent medical care. I’m well-matched with high-energy dogs who require extra stimulation through playtime, as well as with high-maintenance dogs who need extra attention or may be working through behavioral issues. I'm very perceptive to changes in behavior or discomfort, and safety is always my top priority. If you choose to trust your dog with me, I promise they will be in good hands with an animal-lover who treats them like their own.

Kelsey was great, and Julip was clearly content with her stay. You can tell immediately how invested Kelsey is in genuinely bonding with your pup. I'll definitely rebook with Kelsey if the need arises. I may even ask her for a walk occasionally, just so they can reconvene! :)
Kelsey has been really reliable about sending us updates and taking care of our pup. Most importantly, she's really sweet to our dog and you can tell our shy dog has a real bond with her.
Kelsey did an amazing job watching Finn this weekend! She arranged a meet and greet beforehand so Finn wasn’t a complete stranger. Throughout the three days, she sent updates on his status, including pictures! She made sure Finn got plenty of exercise and social interaction by playing fetch with him and taking him on walks in nearby parks. Kelsey was great at sticking to his medication schedule and is experienced with finding effective ways of administering it creatively. We would love to have her watch Finn again as we trusted her and felt he was in the best hands while we were gone.
Kelsey is one of the biggest animal lovers I know! She is both playful and gentle, and always has the pets best interest in mind.

I do not have any breed preferences; I love them ALL, super small to extra large. If anything, I prefer pairing different breeds together for group walks because it provides great socialization and builds the personality of each dog. Before walks, I like to know how friendly each dog is and how they mingle with strangers. If they aren't the friendliest animal, don't fret! I only ask to feel prepared beforehand so I can plan to walk them by themselves until we warm up to each other. In collaboration with their owner, I look forward to gradually socializing them to better improve quality of life. I firmly believe even dogs need friends!
A typical day
I enjoy walking around Jersey City and all of the neighborhood parks. Walks can be brisk and include light jogs. I also enjoy playing fetch and working towards feeling comfortable off-leash in order to play other games like Search & Find (a great bonding & brain exercise for your dog, ask me for details!)
