Qualifications: > 27 years of pet ownership. 20+ years of training and care for 20+ dogs, 50+ cats, 10+ horses, reptiles from small lizards to turtles to large snakes, exotic birds and injured local species, small mammals, rodents, and various aquatic animals. > Experience with obedience training, house training, agility training, working dog training, search and rescue training, and drug detection training (dogs only). Experience with feral cat domestication (including the cutie in my gallery, Caspian). > Extensive experience with many types of disabilities/ illnesses in pets. 7 years of equine veterinarian training. 7 year volunteer for the humane society, including veterinarian assistance. 2 year surgical assistant. Competent and comfortable with drug administration for all types of animals. Personal experience with illness prevention, warning signs, and treatment from caring for my own pets and those at the shelter (skin conditions, allergies, anxiety, parasites, digestive issues, heart and thyroid complications, breathing complications, neurological disorders and seizures, physical injuries from small burns and abrasions to broken wings). About me: I am playful, detail oriented and animal-loving. I aim to connect with and improve the situation for all of the animals under my care. With my life-long involvement with animals, I have gained a deep understanding of the language our pets use to communicate with us and emphasize the importance of mental well-being and anxiety prevention in the absence, however temporary, of a pet's primary caretaker. I am available to feed, walk, play, and give your furry family my full attention when you aren't able to.
