I worked at a veterinary hospital for 2 years as a vet assistant, gaining valuable experience in caring for animals, primarily dogs and cats! I have experience with all sorts of dogs--from friendly to shy, newborns to geriatrics, and abused dogs starting their lives fresh! I am comfortable with all animals, but my passion is with dogs. I have helped facilitate animal assisted therapy, as well, and have extensive knowledge of giving medication, handling untrained dogs, providing care, grooming (including expressing anal glands), and just all around having a fun time! I do really well with shy and/or unconfident dogs who need a little extra love. I have a dog myself, Stanley, who is a well trained rescue Great Pyrenees mix who is currently in line to become a therapy dog.
