Pet care experience
I started pet sitting as a teenager and cared for our family dog. My experience is diverse from just one yorkie to multiple hamsters, fish, a cat, and two French bulldogs all at once. One of my favorite jobs was caring for three goldens, even though my arm almost fell off from all the tennis balls thrown. My most rewarding experience was informally fostering a staffordshire terrier that needed a home after a house fire. I would love to have a dog myself but am not in the right time in my life to have one. Therefore, I will treat your dog like my own and enjoy every second of it.

It was Kelsey’s first time staying with Lucky and she was terrific. She was attentive and followed instructions perfectly. She made friends with Lucky quickly and was terrific about keeping me updated. Can’t wait for her to take care of Lucky again!
We highly recommend Kelsey. Kelsey house sat for us for five days and took excellent care of our Doberman Pinscher and Husky Shepherd. She was friendly and communicated well with us while we were away. My doberman hurt her paw (not Kelsey’s fault) and Kelsey handled the issue perfectly! We will be definitely using her again!
Kelsey is a kind, responsible, trustworthy, and energetic animal lover. She has always looked for reasons to spend time with animals by seeking out jobs involving pet sitting and walking. She grew up spending time with her turtle, fish, gerbils, and family dog (shih tzu). She would also walk our neighbors dogs (big and small) as well as a neighbor who had a variety of animals. There were even times she was asked to house sit and watch two golden retrievers for a long weekend. Not only does she help out with my dog whenever I may need it, but she even took in a dog whose family lost their home until the family was ready to take him back. She enjoys walking, playing, and petting all animals and I can guarantee your pet will be in great hands with Kelsey!

I have no pets but do have some house plants. I live in a small home (like a guesthouse) that has a nice yard that is not fenced. I am open to staying at someone’s house if that’s where your pet is most comfortable.

I would like to know what a typical day is for your dog. I will do my best to keep with their routine so I need to know if they’ll be ready to go for a walk at 7 am or sleep in and just have a dinner time walk. I don’t want to over or under exercise your dog so your daily routine will be important to know as well as activities you do with your dog. Please let me know if they have any dietary restrictions, if you feed your dog from the table or not and any rules you keep in your house so I do not create any bad habits. Lastly, I am happy to rough house with your dog so please let me know if you avoid this type of play. My focus will be to keep your dog happy and comfortable and ensure I do not teach or unteach them anything you’ve worked on.
A typical day
I personally love walks so your dog will definitely get plenty of those. I’m also a big fan of tug of war and fetch so whatever your dog’s play preferences are, I’m in! There is a great park near me that has some trails through the woods and I have a nice big yard.

I work five days a week at an office that is only 6 minutes from my house and with very flexible scheduling. Weekends are most ideal for me but I am flexible.
