I am available for almost all holidays, weekends and on short notice. I have had dogs my entire life and have been working with them for 20+ years. I've worked and volunteered at multiple shelters, rescues and boarding facilities and am currently an obedience dog trainer. I have 6 years of training experience. I am one of those pet parents that calls my animals "fur babies" and I love to spoil them. Animals are allowed on the couch but I also have dog beds all around the house for them to use if you don't want them on the furniture. I have 2 fixed male dogs at home. Loki is a 5 year old Husky who is still very much a playful puppy at heart and King is a 6 year old Hovawart who loves to snuggle. They are both very good with other dogs and love to meet new friends. I also have 2 cats at home that are great with dogs and can hold their own. Once they have had enough they just run up to their room and go to sleep. I have experience with older dogs and disabled dogs. I have been trained in all forms of medication administration including injections and there are no stairs to go up or down to get outside. I have a 6-foot privacy fence around my backyard and always keep a close eye on the pups when they are outside. I live a few miles from Red Wing dog park and love to go on long walks around the park with my boys daily. I have no restriction on breed but I do require a meet and greet with one or both of my dogs before I confirm a stay for all new dogs. I offer house sitting also but I don't stay at your house. For house sitting I do spend at a minimum of 1 hour at your houses twice a day. I will water plants, alternate lights, pick up mail, etc. while I am over. While it is not required, I do recommend bringing a crate or bed from home if able. This helps the dog adjust and feel more comfortable in a new setting.
