Pet care experience
After 17 years of both personal and professional domestic animal care I decided to make it my full time job. I have experience with all domestic animals from dogs and cats to fish, small mammals, reptiles, birds, etc.; and what I don't know I am more than willing and excited to learn. My experience comes from my personal animal ownership, dogs, cats, a snake, fish and even a rat. It also stems from professional experience working at a boarding kennel/shelter, Pet Supplies Plus, 2+ years of Rover work, and volunteering with Rescued Treasures Pet Adoptions.

Kelsey is always great with our dog ALLY and our cats MIYA, BILLY and GYPSY. She gives them love whenever we have her house sit for us. I will focus on her medicating ability in this review. ALLY has degenerative disc issue and receives Carprofen twice a day. Two of our cats, MIYA and BILLY suffer from asthma and are on Flovent inhaler twice a day. BILLY requires Viralys twice a day and Gapapentin to be administered once a day. 3 of our 4 pets are on special diets because of allergies or gastrointestinal issues. KELSEY does it all AND gives our pets great love. In addition, when we return from a trip, our home is in better condition than when we left.

I know that Kelsey is highly regarded as a superb dog watcher but I knew from the moment we met her we hit Gold! She communicated almost every day and sent us pictures as well! She had quite a list from me- and she followed all instructions. The most important thing is we came home at 1:00 AM this morning and the dogs were happy to see us but emotionally calm and just chilled and went to bed! Same today! That is the greatest testament that our pups were loved and needs were met while we were out of the country!! Thank you so much Kelsey!!!

I will keep to the provided instructions for pet and home care when staying in a clients home. I strive to leave a place or person(or animal) better than I found it. I am willing to travel with your pets as well for any scheduled appointments or to exercise them at local dog parks or parks that allow dogs. I am an avid hiker and would love to take them for hikes if so desired. I also have significant experience with cat care and am willing to do the same for cats as I am for dogs. If there are any other animals in the house I am willing to discuss my experience and level of comfort with caring for them as well.

I love to know as much as possible about your dog(s) ahead of time; from breed to sleeping preferences and dietary needs and special quirks about your furry loved one. I will ask many questions during meet and greets to make sure I have a full picture of what your pets need.
A typical day
I love being active and hiking at all times of the year. If there are parks or trails near by we will definitely take advantage of those. I will use any toys and preferred activities that the owner describes as well that is part of the typical day.

Availability
Animal care, house sitting, dog walking, etc transitioned to became my full time job in August of 2022. I was able to leave my work from home job and start doing this and such my availability and schedule are very flexible.
