Pet care experience
All my life I’ve been an animal lover. But one year ago when I moved to Clarksville with my husband from Olympia WA my love for animals grew even deeper. We adopted our first dog, Cooper from the animal shelter and he became my whole world. Since Cooper, we have rescued a second dog (Bo), two leopard geckos (Ziggy and Randle), and a week ago we took in a 5 week old kitten (Spooky). I often go to the shelter just to visit and tell the dogs how cute they are. Since joining rover about 3 years ago, I have watched many different types of animals including cats, dogs, cows, sheep, horses, goats, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, and even a bird once. I have stayed in small apartments and farms. Each time I stay with a new animal, I become so excited to be able to bond with them and learn from them. If I had it my way, my husband and I would have rescued 15 more dogs by now. Before moving to Clarksville, I pursued a degree in family studies at Central Washington University while working for the police department during the night shift as well as a teacher at a local preschool.
Reviews
Kelsey was great! She took lots a photos and my pup seemed really happy when I got home ?
Kelsey is awesome! She spent tons of time with our dogs keeping them entertained and sending us pictures of them while we were away. She treated our house with respect, cleaned up after herself, and kept our dogs from destroying the place. We will definitely be using her again for dog/house sitting, and we certainly recommend her to anyone else looking.
Kelsey was awesome! She spent plenty of time with our dogs to keep them entertained, sent us pictures of the pups while we were away, and treated our home with respect while she was here. Kelsey is absolutely phenomenal! She went above and beyond for our dogs! First off, I booked Kelsey through the Rover app from over 200 miles away and had to coordinate an initial visit for my fiance, who just got back from deployment. She was so flexible with us and our hectic military lifestyle. Not to mention she was so kind throughout the whole booking process. We had to book a dog sitter very last minute for a cross country trip I took for work. As would be our luck, one of our babies escaped the yard through a hole in our fence while we were away but Kelsey and her husband put up a barrier to ensure our dogs were safe (we live right next to a significant roadway so this was amazing)! Additionally, due to a long week away our dogs ran low on food and she actually went out of her way to pick up the specialty food our dogs need (one is allergic to chicken). Kelsey kept us up to date on our pups throughout the stay. I would absolutely recommend her to my best friend, so you should feel comfortable using her to watch your pets! :)

My favorite thing to do is a throw a ball until I can tell my four legged friend is too tired to chase anymore. I also enjoy snuggles and trying to teach new tricks. I am not experienced with tricks at ALL but I have accomplished teaching one dog to high five which I am pretty proud of.
