my partner is a professional dog trainer and has been showing me the ropes! we are consistent when using existing commands and are constantly evaluating new client needs, or reinforcing existing client needs, and adapting along the way. our goal is always to provide as close of an experience as peys get when theyre at home. we’re also committed to ensuring a calm, direct communication dynamic and updating pet parents on commands we think would help with certain behaviors — which come with no expectation of booking training lessons!! we’re just literally obsessed with dogs 😅 and love helping people become better pet parents. **PUPPY PARENTS!** when people say, “puppies are a lot of work!” what we hear is: puppies need a lot of intentional care so that they dont develop anxiety, aggression, or other debilitating issues as adults. for that reason, my partner uses his dog training expertise to identify and correct behavior while puppies are staying with us. our puppy boarding rate that is listed {{{includes training rates}}} so that he is compensated for the ~3 hours/day of training he puts in while puppies are staying with us. we prefer to develop relationships with clients in the hopes that there will be an ongoing relationship; since we become your dog baby’s surrogate parents while youre away, it’s better to be on the same page from the start. if you do not feel inclined to invest time/effort/money into training while boarding, we totally understand and respectfully recommend seeking a different Rover caretaker. —— once the dog is of an age where they are well-trained and do not require the same level of energy and effort as a puppy, we change the rates to our regular adult boarding rate.
