We live on a 20-acre piece of land, which means lots of dog-walks and exploring! The house is cozy, and comes furnished with our own pup as a play-mate. I started working with animals volunteering for an animal shelter, where they later hired me. Later I was a dog-walker in Washington D.C.: this gave me experience with a WIDE range of dogs who needed some loving while their people were away at work. My boyfriend grew up with all types of animals (in all of their possible forms) as his mom was a vet who often took her work home. We are both PhD students working in agriculture; I work with livestock, which means that a lot of my time is spent researching/writing from home, wandering my farm with my pup, thinking about how I can make things better for animals!
