Pet care experience
As a veterinary student and owner of a 2 year old cat, previous owner of a 14 year old poodle, I have years of experience caring for pets ranging from all ages. I will play with your young puppy/kitty with their favorite toys, or chill with them in the park and birdwatch. Having worked in a veterinary hospital, I'm super comfortable giving oral, topical, ear, and eye medications your pet may need as well as trimming their nails. I've worked with my fair share of aggressive dogs as well, so if your buddy needs some distance or extra time to warm up, I will be glad to provide that and ensure their needs are safely met. Whether it be walking, feeding, or house-sitting, rest assured your pet will be given lots of love and scratches!
Reviews
Kelly T. cancelled a booking 3 days before it was scheduled to begin.
Kelly is an absolute angel from above. My sweet old cat man George is a grump and does not like his medications, or people. Kelly was extremely patient with him, engaging in Fear Free techniques to provide him with his medication in the most comfortable way possible. She was incredibly professional, offering to meet prior and thoroughly discussing George's needs (he has alot!). She was extremely respectful of George and his space. When I arrived home, George was calm and happy. I could tell she took very good care of him while I was away. She also sent pictures to help ease my separation anxiety! I would recommend Kelly to any pet lover, and especially the ones who need an extra touch of patience and understanding. Thanks Kelly!
Kelly got along so great with my cat. I truly felt lucky to have a kind a careful cat sitter who will be entering veterinarian school. She even offered to carefully trim my cat's nails! I can tell my cat enjoyed spending time with her. My cat Jet was in safe hands. Very thankful!
Kelly was so attentive to my cat Jet! I really appreciated her sensitivity because he is a traumatized cat, sensitive to loud sounds and sudden movements.

Safety, trust & environment
Being a Fear Free Certified Professional has empowered me to read your dog's/cat's behavior and body language to recognize if they feel anxious, fearful, stressed, or painful and take appropriate steps to reduce these feelings so they can still be fed and go on a walk. This method focuses on positive reinforcement with their favorite treats and toys so that they are not so stressed (and hopefully excited) when I come for a visit.
Information Kelly T. would like to know about your pet
During our initial meet & greet, let me know if your pet has any of the following: -Food allergies/special diet -Aggressive/reactive behavior towards small/big dogs/cats/strangers -Medications -Special needs I would also like to know: -How many feedings per day -How many walks per day -Any treats allowed -Any commands/tricks -Any toys -Any restricted areas in your home (couch, bed) -Energy level -Does your pet need time to adjust to strangers -Is your pet sensitive to being touched -Has your pet shown any signs of aggression (hisses/growls, biting, swatting, lunging)
A typical day
Whether your pet is a couch potato or high-energy, I will be sure to make them comfortable, give them lots of treats (if allowed), and maybe even teach them a trick or two! I will take them to their favorite local park or to my local park, Flushing Meadows Corona Park, where they will sniff all the grass they want and explore the pond.
