I have helped care for dogs of all sizes, can be stern (only when needed!) but loving with all types of dogs, and I know how to keep a dog healthy and happy. I can not only walk your dog, but also take them on a run if you'd like. I grew up with a dog so I know how dear and precious they can be to us. Generally when I first meet someone's dog I ask the owner what routine the dog is used to and what he/she likes (fetch, specific treats, etc.). The first time I take care of that dog, I first take him/her outside to do her business and then we would play a little or go on a walk to get some exercise in. Then if the dog needs to be fed, I will feed him/her and check on their water supply. If the owners are ok with it, I'll walk around the area of the house the dog has access to to ensure the dog has not gone to the bathroom in the house, caused a mess or torn anything up. Then after taking the dog out one more time, I'll leave. That routine is different for when I spend the night taking care of a dog, but I stilll make sure the dog is well taken care of.
