My name is Kelly and I'm an RN and a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Kenya 2011-13). I love dogs and have had several growing up, mostly rescues from shelters. My most recent dog was a pug named Opie who lived until he was 14 years old and passed away a few years ago. I have experience with administering eye drops to dogs, as my pug needed daily eye drops. I have also given pills to dogs using pill pockets and similar for medications. I am familiar with the unique health needs of flat-faced dog breeds and cleaning nasal skin folds, as I had to do this on a regular basis for my pug. I don't have any dogs currently and would love to play with your dog and keep him/her company while you are away. I live near a large park and would love to take your dog on long walks around the area (I'm trying to increase my daily steps so this would be fun and great for my step count!!). As far as boarding in my home, I have a child who is 3 years old and a 3 month old so any dogs that stay with me need to be good with kids. We are teaching my son to be gentle and respectful with dogs and supervise him closely around animals. He has had practice petting Grandma's dogs gently and loves to follow them around (they are 2 senior Maltese dogs).
