Hello! My name is Kelly and I moved to Lincoln Park with my husband approximately four years ago for work. Shortly after moving to the city, we adopted an American Staffordshire Terrier/Border Collie mix, named Sophie, from PAWS who instantly became the love of our lives! I love walking dogs around the neighborhood or just spending time with them at home. Although I didn't grow up in Chicago, I've lived in Northern IL my entire life and no amount of cold can stop me from getting out and about! I am a mental health therapist working in private practice. After the craziness of 2020, business has picked up and my work schedule is as follows: Monday: 1:00PM-9:00PM Tuesday: 11:00AM-1:00AM, 2:00PM-9:00PM Wednesday: 12:00PM-4:00PM, 5:00PM-8:00PM Thursday: OFF Friday: 9:00AM-5:00PM Saturday: 9:00AM-5:00PM Sunday: OFF I currently work from home (mine or yours) on Wednesdays and Fridays. Otherwise, my office is in Lakeview (moving to Lincoln Park in mid-October). There is some flexibility to my schedule and I may be able to switch things around to fit both your and your pet(s)’s needs. While I love doing walks and drop-ins, my specialty is house sitting when you need time away and are unable to bring your pet. Or, do you just need a date night? I’m available to dog sit by the hour as well! Ask about rates! I would prefer that you live in Lincoln Park, Lakeview, or are close to public transportation. Kelly was awesome with Junior! She kept us up to date on walks, his feeding, and playtime. The pictures she sent were incredible. Kelly was a great host and I highly recommend!
Kelly was communicative, timely, and easy to work with! She watched my two big dogs for one day & one night and they seemed happy and relaxed when I got home.
Kelly was super nice, and Luna had a great time playing and cuddling with her. We really appreciated that Kelly arrived promptly at the scheduled time, kept Luna safe and comfortable while we were out. We'll definitely have her back next time.
Kelly watched our dog two weekends in a row while we were out of town for 10 days. She handled the complexity of pick up and drop off at Otto's vet for boarding for the week in between and we were so happy she was up for that wrinkle! She followed our instructions, was responsive, managed our needy dog, met with us ahead of time to meet, and sent regular photo and text updates. She also brought our mail in, which went above and beyond and was much appreciated. Will book her again! Highly recommend Kelly for overnight dog sitting!

I offer walks, drop-ins, and overnights for all breeds. I do prefer to know if they’re aggressive or dog reactive so I can prepare for walks and use my safety skills to prevent any fights. I also like to know about your dog’s usual routine so I can stick to it as much as possible. I want your dog to feel as comfortable as possible and will do what I can to make that happen!
A typical day
I live in Lincoln Park and love to take dogs to the Lincoln Park Zoo nature center trail and beautiful half-mile nature boardwalk around their pond that’s full of lush scenery. I love exploring new areas and am happy to take your dog on a walking adventure! I also play with your dog and his/her favorite toys inside your home. If your dog loves fetch, I’ll be sure to tire him/her out! Loves tug-of-war? My muscles are ready!

Availability
My work hours vary. I currently work from home on Wednesday and Friday and am off on Thursday and Sunday. Although I work from home two days per week, due to the nature of my job, I cannot guarantee that I’ll be available to your pet during my working hours. Monday and Tuesday, I work in-office during the afternoon/evening and, on Saturday, I work in the morning and late afternoon. My office is currently in Lakeview (switching to Lincoln Park by mid-October) so, if your home is close, I may be able to come home on breaks to care for your pet. However, breaks are not always guaranteed so please review my work schedule to ensure I’m a good fit for you and your dog’s needs.
