PLEASE NOTE - if you are considering Doggie Daycare, I have to let you know that I cannot host dogs in my home for daycare. But I CAN come to your house for the day to dogsit/daycare for your dog[s]. Rover.com does not let me specify this caveat regarding my availability for Doggie Daycare. The service [for me as a sitter] is essentially just like house sitting but only for the day, with me arriving around 7-9am and staying until around 4-6pm. This is the definition of the Doggie Daycare that I provide and that is the service that the prices listed under Doggie Daycare reflect. Thank you. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have (thankfully and luckily) had dogs all of my life, which has been a true blessing. But more importantly, I have worked with dogs in some capacity for over 20 years. I began volunteering at a local kennel at the age of 15. There I played with the animals who were boarded there, walked dogs, and cleaned, fed, and performed other basic kennel attendant duties, including being taught how to administer (oral, otic and ophthalmic) medication to dogs (and yes, cats) who needed it. After a couple of years, I was trained as a brusher/bather and learned how to clean ears, cut nails and espress anal glands. I went on to work as a brusher/bather and/or kennel attendant for several years. And of course, having had many dogs throughout my life, I've handled and experienced a lot of doggie quirks and certain chronic conditions including skin allergies, ear infections, tracheal problems (backward sneezing) and more, and I know how to calmly deal with and treat them. During and after college, I unfortunately got away from working with animals in order to "make more money". I did - and I hated it. I took some time out to think about what I wanted out of life. I quickly came to the obvious realization that my reason for being here on Earth is to work with animals-specifically dogs! So here I am, I have come full circle and I'm here on Rover.com to meet lots of pups, help make pet parents' lives easier, and best of all to live my purpose, and my dream!
