OUR STORY: We're a small family of dog lovers eager to welcome more friendly pups into our beach abode! We welcome dogs of all ages and we have both owned and raised dogs for the past 10 years. In the last year we sadly lost both our resident dogs - one due to old age, the other due to a congenital defect that surprised us all. Losing our two fur babies has not stopped us from dog sitting many happy and lovable guests. In April of 2018 we adopted a puppy - Maple - who is an adorable bundle of puppy energy. She loves to play and is learning to be social with our Rover guests! When we're not home she is crated, so never left unsupervised with other dogs. We are training Maple to be a polite puppy and she is learning new tricks and commands daily. If you have any concerns about your dog sharing space with a puppy, please do not hesitate to ask about our approach. EXERCISE: All dogs get frequent potty breaks in the backyard and for playtime. All dogs will get short walks in the a.m. and longer evening walks through our neighborhood. There is plenty of green space, shaded areas, trees, and even some wildlife in the walking area surrounding our home. Our backyard is large and fenced with a shaded patio. Dogs can be partitioned off into our air-conditioned Florida room during the day if desired. HOW WE COMMUNICATE: We provide frequent updates via the Rover app with pictures and videos. If you want more pictures or more information daily, please just ask! If you want less, that is okay too! We work with you to ensure you are comfortable with your pup staying in our home. If your trip is running shorter or longer than expected or there are travel delays, please let me know so we can accommodate your plans and make changes as necessary.
