Pet care experience
I have years of experience caring for pets, and I began working at a shelter last year! I have cared for animals with a wide variety of needs, and I have administered medication to cats, dogs, and hedgehogs. I am certified by the Red Cross in Cat and Dog First Aid. I have lots of experience with shy and frightened animals, and I've done a lot of animal enrichment, working closely with our enrichment coordinator. I have experience in clicker and obedience training with both cats and dogs. I am also able to care for animals besides just cats and dogs - I currently have a hedgehog and a crested gecko, in addition to my cats!

A typical day
I love playing with dogs with their favorite toys! Most dogs I know have designated me as the human to play with and will bring me toys and come to me for a fun time. I enjoy fetch, tug of war, or chasing with your dog! I've also done a bit of puppy training if you'd like me to do some training activities with your furry friend! And, of course, physical affection is very important, so I'm happy to provide all the belly rubs and scratches your dog needs! For cats, if they're outgoing, I will play with their favorite toy and give them scratches on their chin. If they're shy, I like to sit and wait for them to approach me when they're comfortable, and reward their bravery with treats, pets, and play.

My work schedule is fairly flexible and can vary from week to week. However, I'm almost always available afternoons and evening, and I know my schedule in advance.
