Pet care experience
I have an 8 year old golden retriever named Winnie who loves visitors more than anything. We are comfortable with dogs of all ages and sizes. We live in Northwest Detroit, so I can quickly and easily access Ferndale, Royal Oak, Birmingham, Novi/Northville, and more if needed. I’ve had dogs my entire life and have been dog sitting for others for over 10 years. Priority #1 will always be the health and safety of your dog. I’m comfortable with allergies, giving out meds, or just working to understand other dogs’ special needs and being flexible with that. We are happy to accommodate most schedules and I know how important communication is when you’re away from your pet so will send lots of updates and pictures.

Safety and communication are my top priorities. I have a fenced yard. We have a couple large dog beds so everyone is comfortable at all times. I do like to flag that I have hardwood floors throughout my home (including stairs), which can occasionally be difficult for older or skittish dogs.

A typical day
Winnie is a Retriever so she really loves attention, tennis balls and playing fetch. We like long walks on Belle Isle and visit many of the local dog parks. Winnie also enjoys swimming. As she gets older, she does enjoy a good nap.
