Bed and Breakfast with Pet Nanny

Pet care experience

I live in a nice neighborhood in Monroe with my Shichon, Ume, and two rescue dogs, a German Shepherd, named Paris and Suki (Snorkie). My two grown children (human) no longer live at home, but do visit or stay during holidays. It'd give me great joy to fill my empty nest by nannying your fur kids. I know how stressful it is to reserve a suitable place for your pup, and would love to help ease any anxiety while you are away. I manage my own home business, which provides a daily routine that is convenient and adaptable for dog companionship. It allows me the flexibility to provide plenty of potty breaks, outdoor play and walks around the neighborhood and nearby parks. My modest sized yard is fenced and is the warm months we offer a doggy splash pool and water fun. Our fluffy fur kids are the heart of our family and I promise to take care of and love your fur babies like they are one of our own. About this sitter: I work from my home office, which allows me time to enjoy my other love, animals! I'm an avid dog lover and animal advocate. I have three fur kids, Ume, Suki & Paris. I have experience with special needs dogs including administering medication, managing special diets, anxiety, seizures and disabilities. For that extra peace of mind, I provide texts, e-mails, and photo updates when you leave your beloved pet in my care. I understand how important it is to know how your dog is doing while you're away. I love taking photos and using my fun apps to add captions. I also have a Facebook Page for my pet clients at: wwwfacebookcom/roverpetnanny I am always available and reachable while you are out of town should you need to get a hold of me. ***I only accepted dogs that have been spayed or neutered.*** Why I love dog sitting I've always been a lover and advocate for animals. I grew up with cats, dogs, birds, hamsters and fish. Throughout my life I've adopted and rescued some amazing cat and dog companions. I donate to several animal organizations. Meet my pets I have a 12 lb. Shichon named Ume, a German Shepard, Paris and a maltese, Lilly. I also occasionally pet nanny M-F (7 am-6 pm) for Molly, an 11 year old Miniature Schaunzer who is blind. I've cared for this particular dog since she was 8 weeks old. *** I request that all dog clients are up-to-date on flee and tick treatment despite the season.*** My vehicles are outfitted with Kennel club hammock style car seat covers that protect rear and behind front seats. They accommodate seatbelt safety harnesses. I also have travel crates (if preferred) that can be safely secured in rear, as well as a secured booster seat for little dogs with safety harness attachments. If you have a fitted harness for your pet, please bring it along. About my yard My house is located in the Fryeland Blvd. neighborhood near Lake Tye and several community pet-friendly pathways and parks. We have a fenced in yard and designated pedestrian paths. I do not use pesticides, sprays or potentially toxic chemicals on flowers, lawn, shrubs or paths. Dogs are never left outside unsupervised. If a leash is required for walks and potty breaks, we will accommodate. My experience administering medication Yes. I'm comfortable administering oral and topical medications.

As a repeat customer, Charlie is always so happy to stay with Ume and Kelly. He is so comfortable, he runs to their door and as he sprints into their home doesn't even look back. We are so grateful to Kelly for making him feel at home!

I am open to most breeds. Please tell me about your dog's personality, behaviors, likes, dislikes and habits. The more I know and understand, the happier we'll all be with the experience. It's my goal to make this an outstanding and positive stay for everyone. At this time, I only accept spayed and/or neutered dogs. Puppies under 6 months are okay. Over 6 months, I prefer the pets I host be spayed/neutered. I have cared for the following breeds: Miniature Schnauzers Basenji West Highland White Terrier Border Collies Bearded Collies Pembroke Welsh Corgi Shetland Sheepdog Lagotto Romagnolo Bichon Frise (various mixed breeds) Cocker Spaniel mixes Poodle mixes French bulldog Boston Terrier Beagal Havanese Labs Lab/Retriever mixes Boxers Rhodesian Ridgebacks German Shepherds Chihuahuas (mixed breeds) Lhasa Apsos Shichon Snorkie Shih-Tzu Maltese Maltipoo Pugs Yorkie (and Yorkie mixes) Australian Shepard English Foxhound Miniature Australian Shepard I would love the chance to watch YOUR special breed!

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks I play and take dogs for walks typically around the neighborhood and lake. There is plenty of room for chasing, retrieving, frisbee and proper exercise in yard and neighborhood park. If you are comfortable with me taking your pet in the car, we may do quick errands, visit local areas in Monroe ie lake, pet store or park walk. We will accommodate a dog's routine, behaviors and comfort. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Dogs are allowed to sleep anywhere they feel comfortable. Most areas of the house are open. I have dog beds located on both floors and a sleeping bench at the foot of my bed. I also have two types of crates if dogs prefer to sleep in one. If your dog has a favorite blanket or bed, I recommend bringing it along and we will find a place that he/she likes. Time I'll spend with your dog I work from home, which means I am present for the majority of the day. If your dog enjoys car rides, and the weather is at pet friendly temps, I'll be happy to take him/her along as my co-pilot if the owner is comfortable.
