I’m able to walk your pup or do drop in visits for all of your pets at the time that best suits their needs during the week, and I’m also available at any time Saturdays and Sundays! I love getting to start my day off visiting with puppy dogs and cats- it just sets the tone for the whole day and makes it so much better. *For boarding clients* - Your pup(s) must be up to date on their rabies vaccination (please provide copy of certificate) and on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Please provide a list with brand names and the last date they received their preventatives along with any other medications and detailed instructions for dosage so I can be sure that they receive their medications exactly as required. - We do have children in our home. Our own kids are ages 6 and up, and we often have visitors as young as 2 years old. - I am comfortable with senior dogs and dogs with medical needs. My own sweet older girl recently passed away after battling hemangiosarcoma and so it’s something I have personal experience with. As long as your senior is comfortable around children, we are more than happy to love on them for you. - Due to the number of kids here, I’m not comfortable with toy breeds only because I want your puppy dog to be in the best environment possible. I started teaching my children how to safely interact with dogs as soon as they became mobile, but I worry about tiny little dogs with small children running around.. They are absolutely adorable and I really want them to have both a safe and fun vacation of their own while you are out of town. - We do not have cats or a dog of our own. We do have backyard chickens, and occasionally we have chicks in a brooder indoors until they have all of their feathers in and can handle the temperature outdoors as well as being large enough to safely integrate into our flock. We also have a pet rabbit who lives indoors but he is kept separate from any other animals. - Our backyard is fenced in (chain link fence) and we do have some doggie friends on either side of our house. Our yard backs up against a wooded area so there are no dogs or neighbors behind us. - We only board for one family at a time but we may have daycare friends with us depending on the day. Our daycare friends have the same health requirements as our boarding friends. We do limit the number of boarding friends to two per day. Therefore we unfortunately will not be able to board any dogs who struggle with dog aggression. I’m comfortable managing it when there are no other dogs in our home- our sweet girl was not a fan of other dogs, and I understand that not every dog wants to be friends with other dogs. The only reason I can’t typically accept them is because I want every dog, including dogs who don’t care for other dogs, to have a safe, stress-free time while you are away. - I will need for a local emergency contact as well as contact information for your dog’s vet. - All dogs who are old enough (over 1 year old for smaller breeds, 2 years old for large breeds) should be spayed or neutered, but if there are special circumstances we can talk about it! I cannot take females who are in heat at this time. - We are generally only able to board dogs, but if you have an exotic pet we can take them on a case by case basis. I have experience with a wide variety of parrots and reptiles, as well as guinea pigs and hamsters. I am not able to board potbellied pigs.
