I've grown up with dogs my entire life. I started taking care of our family dogs before I can even remember. All dogs have different personalities and it's important to learn each dog because they will all respond differently to you. Three of my most recent family dogs have been rescued, each having their own set of issues from their past experience before being rescued. I love praising dogs with petting and cuddling, as well as treats for a job well done, whether that be listening to a command or just being well behaved. I always let the dog/s out first thing in the morning before eating and after eating as well. Then throughout the day I make sure the dog/s have time outside to play or go on a walk. If the weather is bad outside, we find ways to play inside, to make sure the dog/s is able to release some energy. I always make sure to let the dog/s out after eating dinner and before bedtime. Most weekends, including some Fridays, I am available all day. The house I live in is large enough for the dog/s to have plenty of room to play and explore. The yard is large and has a fenced in area as well as additional space not fenced in to play fetch and explore, on or off leash. There will typically be three other people in the house while I dog sit: my fiance, and his mother and father.
