Butters has his own distinct personality and particular needs. For instance, when I first drop Butters off somewhere new, he cannot be left alone until he relaxes (which can sometimes take a few hours). Also, I know some dogs prefer sleeping in the same room as their people, while others are fine on their own. Is your dog on a schedule? Does he/she eat at specific times? Go out at specific times? Ideally, I would like to mimic your schedule as much as possible. Finally, does your dog like the car? We frequently go for longer walks on the weekends and I like to explore new areas. We always think it's a good idea to do a "meet and greet" before bringing a new dog into our home for any length of time. We've never had a problem in the past, but it's far better to be safe than sorry!

We love Butters and they are very much a part of the family. Any dog I care for will be just as much a part of our family. I also believe in exercise and I don't skimp on walks. We also go to the dog park.
