I grew up dogs, and I have owned dogs my whole adult life. I know how stressful it can be to find someone to care for your dog when you are away. I am a nursing student now, so I do have free time to check on your dog, dog walk, or even dog sit. I moved back to the Chicago area after living in the mountains of Colorado for eight years. I am new to Rover.com, but while I was in Colorado I frequently would watched my friends' and neighbors' dogs. I feel comfortable around almost any type of dog- small, big, energetic, shy, low-key, you name it. I am also comfortable with watching/walking multiple dogs at a time. I also try to be as active as possible with with dogs. When dog walking or dog sitting I try to take dogs to the forest preserves in the area- if that is what you prefer. I know how much dogs love these areas! I care for every dog as if it were my own.

I recently moved back in with my parents for nursing school. Therefore, I can leave my dog with my parents if you need me to house sit. However, if your dog would like a buddy, my dog is very friendly! I am very accommodating. I don't have any breed preferences. I have cared for all sorts of dogs before! I know that it might be difficult to find someone that can watch a bigger dog. I do want you to know that I am comfortable with the big breeds (ex: Great Danes, Bernese Mountain dogs, Mastiffs, etc). I have a big dog myself!
A typical day
If your dog requires a lot of exercise (my dog used to be like this :) ), I will accommodate. I will take your dog for long walks/runs if needed. I can take your dog to the local trails. This is something I do with my dog almost daily. I used to do it even more when my dog was young and energetic! If your dog prefers to be low-key, I'm cool with that too!
