I genuinely love animals, especially dogs! For the longest time, my landlords would not let me have a pet of any kind at my apartment so I would fill the void through dog walking and pet sitting. Watching your dog(s)/cat(s) is more fun to me than it is work. Aside from loving animals, I am a special education elementary teacher. I spend my Summers watching dogs and enjoying the beach. Additionally, I have a passion for traveling, reading, and hiking! I have experience with all kinds of pets and have watched up to five pups at one time. During the Summer, I am free at all hours and days. I have experience with special needs animals as well such as a diabetic dog, a diabetic cat, a dog with dementia, and a dog that is blind. All of these cases require extra care and attention along with extra snuggles. The reason I signed up for Rover is because I would love to add more furry friends into my life. I have ruff-rences available upon request! House Sitting UPDATE 2021: I now have my own furry friend! She’s an Australian cattle dog whom I rescued from a kill shelter in Tennessee. She LOVES other dogs and is very well behaved. For house sitting, I ask that both her and I stay at your home where they will get plenty of play time, love, and treats. I tested this out with a few repeat clients of mine and it has worked out great! You can see her with the other dogs in the photos section!
