ABOUT ME Hello and thanks for stopping by my profile! I’m a born-and-raised Chicagoan, but I’ve always been a Florida girl at heart. My passions lie in travel, education, and—you guessed it—animal welfare! I work part-time both as an outdoor education facilitator and as a substitute teacher in Pinellas County. Although Rover is a part-time job for me, I provide full-hearted and reliable care. EXPERIENCE Growing up, I had a German Shepherd as well as a mini menagerie that included everything from birds to lizards to fish to a tarantula. I am comfortable caring for a wide variety of pets, including dogs both great and small. My past animal care experience includes: ✓ House-sitting and dog-walking/cat-playing (off-and-on for 17 years) ✓ Dog grooming and day care (3 years) ✓ Animal shelter volunteer (4 years) ✓ Wildlife rescue and rehabilitation center volunteer in Costa Rica (3 months) Ask me about any of these jobs! I’m happy to share what I’ve learned and how these experiences allow me to provide your pets and home with the best care. SERVICES & AVAILABILITY My Rover calendar shows when I am available. My work schedule varies from week to week. On weekdays that are marked as “available,” I typically work from 7 am to 3 pm. My service range is within a 10-minute drive of the 33785 area code. I would be delighted to provide standard home-care services while house-sitting or during drop-in visits. Home-care services can include: take out trash/recycling; alter lights/blinds/curtains; retrieve mail/newspaper; water plants; and ask me if you need something else. Kelly was amazing with our two girls while we were gone, and even went above and beyond by doing additional things for us that we didn't expect. I will definitely use her again anytime we have to go out of town!
Kelly was referred to us by friends who have two Newfoundlands and a Golden, and we hired her to take care of Maisie, our medium-sized, mixed breed for two weeks. Kelly surprised us with daily texts and photos. She walked Maisie once or twice a day and took time to play with her. When we got home we found that Kelly had kept a diary of Maisie's days. Maisie was in great shape and was happy to see us, but it was obvious that she loved her experience with Kelly. It is our pleasure to recommend Kelly as a responsible, thoughtful, communicative care-giver and hope that she is available next time we go on vacation!
Kelly has taken care of our fur family on several occasions. She is attentive and loving and we never worry about the fur kids while we are gone. Her trustworthiness is exemplary and we never worried for a minute that everything wouldn't be just as we left it except maybe the dogs might like her a bit more than us when we got back. A great person.
