We are sad to report we are no longer taking in (our home) clients because our oldest dog is ill and needs to keep things routine and stress free. We are still doing visits and other services. (Updated April 2015). ....... Sympa means sweet or pleasant, and our goal is to have animals relaxed while owners are gone. The house is occupied by myself, my husband, and our Shelties. I have been involved in training and showing my Shelties since 1997. I have worked for veterinary clinics in the greater Grand Rapids area as an assistant. I am currently employed full time at Waverly Animal Hospital, and my schedule varies week to week, so some re-occurring visits need to be flexible in the days/hours. Our home is located on nearly 2/3 of an acre right in Lansing, near the Hawk Island County Park and Scott Woods Park/Soldans Dog Park. While we have all that land, only a portion of it is fenced in completely (see pictures). We live on a gravel road so rarely have traffic, it's a quiet neighborhood. Having been a pre-vet student at Michigan State, I realize how tough it can be for a student – or anyone – to afford canine boarding. I offer competitive rates and discount programs as well! We can even provide a 24/7 webcam where you might be able to catch glimpses of your pet relaxing, for an additional charge.
