Pet care experience
I've helped friends and neighbors out many times over the years, but started doing OFFICIAL house and pet sitting in February of 2023. It's been great! I've loved meeting new people, giving their pets the chance to decide if they like me (they always do, which is very sweet & much appreciated), and experiencing different environments. In 2023 all of that was happening in Minnesota, (note the mid-blizzard photo with JoJo the huge Great Pyrenees, who can run a LOT faster in thigh-deep snow than me - hah!). Starting in March of 2024 I'll be doing some more traveling & exploring, (Tallahassee, Florida is the first destination) but still coming back to work for various clients on projects in Minnesota in person, and also visiting my parents in Oakdale frequently (and especially for holidays and their birthdays). So, while I won't necessarily be in the Twin Cities all the time, I'd still be delighted to schedule a Meet-and-Greet and find out when you might want me to watch your pets, because it's possible I will be available for you. Kelly was flexible, friendly, proactive, and, most importantly, patient with our anxious animals. Our furry family means the world to us and Kelly rose to the challenge. We received daily photos and updates, and she problem solved on her own to make sure not to worry us with the small stuff while we were on vacation. One of our dogs even had surgery right before we left and Kelly watched the surgery site and gave our pup daily medications. We so appreciate her staying at our home and watching over everything.
Kelly has a calm, easy going demeanor that my kitties really appreciate. They warm up to her quickly and love being able to stay home while we’re gone. Kelly sends me photos of the kitties every day and I feel good about how relaxed they are. One of my kitties has some medical issues and can make some messes, but Kelly keeps on top of them. I look forward to using Kelly again this summer.
Kelly, is excellent with our 2 dogs. They love to see her show up. I know Kelly will take great care of them. We always try to book with Kelly first.
Kelly was above and beyond! I was very nervous to use this app but after I met Kelly I knew my babies Gizmo and Wally were in good hands. Having her stay with them was the best thing for them especially since Gizmo is almost completely deaf and blind and knows his house. She took pics of them daily and sent them to me which was great. I highly recommend her and will definitely hire her again. I cannot thank her enough for her help. : )

I truly think that YOU'll know what I need to know. So, please tell me! I'm friendly, and cheerful, and likable, and patient and nice. I'm sure I'll like your dog or cat, and I think they'll like me. I won't give 'em any reason for that to not be true. When you're gone I am sure they will MISS YOU, so I will be understanding about that and try to make them happy during your vacation or work trip. Nobody likes to feel anxious, whether you're a human being or an animal. I'm empathetic and encouraging, and I think that probably means as much to animals as it does to people.
A typical day
Seems to me that every PERSON is different and so is every PET. I kinda tend to love 'em all. (Seriously, I think there are about 3 people who I've ever met in my life and had the reflex of genuinely NOT liking them. The ratio's probably even better for animals.) I'm happy to learn more about your pet and your routines and what they like or need, and do that. That seems like the proper-order-of-things to me, instead of me suggesting random ideas without having any other knowledge about both of you. If you have a habit of paddle-boarding with your doggie for 11 miles every afternoon, I might not quite be able to accomplish that, but I also might give it a try!

I've been self-employed in the world of corporate-industrial video production for over 30 years, and right now almost all my work is virtual so I'm really flexible. I work with a digital marketing agency called ClickMakers, as well as some of my own clients like Karsten Nursery, and also have this website with my business partner: StrawBaleGardenClub. Key point is I've got a LOT of flexibility. I also spent a lot of years somehow juggling urgent client video project deadlines with parenting and extra-curricular activities for my four sons, so it's a pretty well established skill set to be able to adjust my own schedule to prioritize for other variables (like when your dog or kitty-cat needs care and attention.)
