Dog Trainer & Owner of 2 Cats
Pet care experience
Hello! As a recent college graduate who studied animal behavior, I believe in and am well versed in positive reinforcement. I have experience in training and working with dogs of all ages and sizes (and do not discriminate based on dog breeds). I also own two cats; both of opposite personalities, one being rambunctious and, the other, a couch potato. Rest be assured that I am comfortable handling your furry friends with all the colors of personalities in between! I'm also fully vaccinated and will not judge your vaccination status, but would appreciate transparency. Please note: -I don't prefer to take dogs to dog runs/parks and will consider it only after discussing with owners. -I am not comfortable walking dogs on prong, martingale, or e-collars.
Reviews
Kelly is the best, and always goes above and beyond for my fur babies!!
Kelly is great! She stays in touch throughout the visit/walk and asks questions to make sure she is clear on the dog-parent’s preferences and the dog’s needs. I feel like our Molly is in good hands with Kelly :-)
Kelly was very conscientious and concerned about things going well with our pup. She communicated thoroughly and I felt like our girl was in good hands
Kelly is a very honest and responsive person. I feel very comfortable with her. She communicated well throughout the walk and my dog had a lot of fun!

Safety, trust & environment
I make sure to treat your pets and homes as if they were my own. I make sure to be mindful of specific pet and owner needs/concerns and do my best to make sure the visits are fulfilling for the animals and stress-free for the owners.
Information Kelly C. would like to know about your pet
If interested in booking, please let me know if your dog/cat has any: 1) Allergies/Medical needs 2) Reactivity (i.e. leash, humans, other dogs, etc.) and the extent of reactivity 3) Anything else you think would be important for me to know! (e.g. particular play styles, stranger danger, eating habits, things to watch out for while on walks, etc.)
A typical day
For dog walks, I love to greet the dogs (through playing, pets, treats, etc.) and make sure they're comfortable with me before going on the walk. For more energetic dogs, I like to occasionally sprint or jog alongside them (if the area looks safe!) just to get out that extra pent-up energy but always ends visits on a calm note. For more reserved dogs, I am extra mindful of their environment outside and let them take more of a lead on the walk as to not stress them out by straying too far from their comfort zones/away from the house. I don't prefer to take dogs to dog runs or parks and will consider it only after discussing with owners. With cats, I pay special attention to introductions. I don't enter right away and if greeted, will still try to go through some pets, rubs, or playtime before feeding. I try to cater playing sessions based on personalities. As an owner of a timid cat myself, I am particularly mindful of my presence when visiting shyer/easily stressed cats and will not approach unless greeted first.
