I own a small dog named Chips. He is my best friend in the entire world. Because of this trusted bond I understand how important it is to know you are leaving your dog with someone that will care and love for your animal while you are away. I offer friendliness, caring and professionalism to you and all my love to your dog. A little bit about myself, I am a college educated finance professional. I am currently seeking my FRM, which is very similar to a CPA but much bigger and better. I am a licensed commercial lender, which means I underwrite loans for a living. I have no professional dog sitting experience but what I can offer is an experience I had with my dog Chips. While living in Florida I had to travel to the Cincinnati area for my employer. I had to leave my little Chips in the care of a sitter at a highly rated doggie hotel for four (4) days. Upon my return to retrieve Chips, I was checking out in the lobby area and noticed my little Chips walking by. He looked so sad walking behind one of the staff with his head hanging low. I yelled out his name with excitement and he ran and jumped into my arms. The staff said they had never seen a dog so happy. About a month later I had to leave town again for work. I had to drop some items off beforehand to the same doggie hotel. I brought Chips along for the ride. Upon entering the driveway for the doggie hotel Chips began to shake and tremble. He was scared. He crawled down onto the floorboard and tried to hide. After this I decided I would not leave my dog in the care of a doggie hotel. He would either remain at home with a responsible friend or come with me on trips. So with this story being shared, I understand how special and important dogs are to their owner(s). I would never want anyone else to experience their loved one(s) being afraid. Remaining at home in a familiar place is the best location for a dog to be without the owner. It is equally important to the owner to know they have left their dog in the care of someone who will love and cherish their dog. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover all my life. I have owned my dog, Chips, for almost four years. I cannot imagine my life without him.
