Hi there! I am a dog mom and animal lover who can’t wait to help take care of your beloved pet(s). They really are our best friends and children. I live near Union Market, but am willing to travel for clients. I am currently accepting dog day care, dog boarding, dog drop in visit & cat drop in visit requests for new and existing clients. I have flexible rates if need be. If you can, definitely book me for holidays as early as possible — I do fill up! ABOUT ME: I'm a journalist & personal trainer who works from home with my dog. I have a very flexible schedule. Kendrick is a 5 year old rescue mix who I have had since a puppy. Working from home means I have a lot of free time to care for my dog, as well as any other dogs that want to stop by for the day or night. I have a loving heart and love to spoil dogs -- there is nothing I love more than giving belly rubs and “treat treats.” Kendrick and I have been welcoming dogs into our home since I adopted him in November 2018, but I also grew up my whole life with pets. I’m a dog whisperer, in my head! I also LOVE to be outside, so being able to go on walks around the neighborhood or spend time at the dog park nearby make me an ideal candidate to take care of your pet. My building also has a fenced-in resident only dog park, as well as a pet spa. Your dog will be able to expend tons energy when staying with me — trust that. I prefer dog boarding at my spot, but am also available for check-ins and daycare. I am also happy to drop in and help with your cat(s) in any way you need. Unfortunately I cannot board your feline friend in my house. **PLEASE DISCLOSE EVERYTHING TO ME ABOUT YOUR DOG** Whatever needs you have for your dog - short or long leashes, a special harness or collar, specific food with specific schedules, any medicine to take, any allergies or foods to ignore, concerning habits, etc. - I am here to meet them! EXAMPLES OF INFO I WANT TO KNOW: What does your dog dislike on walks, i.e. bikes or scooters? Can your dog share toys okay or will guarding tendencies show? Any leash aggression? What’s his or her potty schedule like? (I prefer house broken pets.) Is the dog park ok to visit during busy hours and what is your dog’s recall like at the park if he or she gets too excited? How (honestly) energetic is your dog at home during the day? Can your dog be left alone loose with my dog, or should your dog be crated? Kendrick has free range when I am home but I do have a crate in my den that can be used if needed. **I DO REQUIRE A MEET & GREET BEFOREHAND** Usually this will be outside of my apartment complex in a neutral area to start, and we can all go inside to see my apartment after a proper introduction, if desired. To summarize: I believe my attention to detail really separates me from other caretakers. I want the best care for your pet(s), and safety and happiness are the most important. My goal is to make sure your pets are as happy as possible, but also as safe as possible. Please note that sometimes there WILL be overlap in my apartment, which means Kendrick, another dog and possibly your dog. I don’t do this often or for extended periods of time, but it is a possibility. Looking forward to helping you and your furry best friend!
