All animals and animal breeds require stimulation both mental and physical and I strive to provide such that is appropriate for the breed as well as the parent’s wish. I am very active, and enjoy long walks in nature- regardless of the time of day. I have fun activities for cats and dogs to keep mentally stimulated during the day, keeping their minds and bodies happy. I am flexible with my time and am happy to keep your fur-baby’s schedule consistent with what they are used to. I am able to work from home so your fur-baby won’t ever have to be alone.

I have a first floor apartment with a secure balcony overlooking a park, and have easy access to the park below. I will be with your fur baby for the entire time and strive to keep their normal routine constant and consistent, whether it be in my own home or yours. All plugs are secured and wires are tucked away. We have no stairs in the apartment and have elevator access to our floor if need be.

A typical day
We will go for walks in the park, exploring and interacting with their environment. If required, we can play high energy games such as fetching a ball or toy, sniffing out treats and interacting with other dogs (if necessary). At home, mentally stimulating games such as snuffle mats, hidden treats, chew toys, play ropes and other games can be played. Of course, lots of cuddles and loves if your fur-baby enjoys it.

Pet care experience
I grew up in South Africa where we had several pets ranging from dogs, cats, rabbits, mice, snakes, lizards- the list goes on. We always had a minimum of 2-4 dogs in our home, each of different breed, even before I was born. I therefore learnt from a very young age how to care for, train, groom, walk and interact with various types of animals with their different temperaments, personalities and personalized needs. This included a range of ages from young, energetic puppies through to gentle, assistance-requiring senior ‘citizens’. In my home we were taught that pets are a part of our family, and that is still my belief today. Our home is a place of love and stability. I was the lucky mom of two beautiful American Staffordshire Terriers, and learnt how to train and care for an incredibly beautiful and powerful breed. I am comfortable with all breeds and temperaments, and this has granted me the pleasure of dog sitting for my friends and families’ fur babies.
