The Dog Loving Enthusiast!
Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Kellin and I have been owning animals, walking dogs, and house sitting for all sorts of pets for about 10 years. I work full-time at a nearby college and when I’m not working, I like to work with animals, be outside, and get into some good fiction! When working with dogs and cats, I am loving, attentive, and sensitive to a pet's boundaries. Just like people, our pets have buttons they don't want pushed, and my goal as your pet's caregiver is to make sure they love seeing me because I'm exciting to be around, safe for them, and because I genuinely want to care for them! Raising pets is so rewarding, and also is a huge investment of courage, love and training. When you leave your pets in my care, you can rest assured that any commands, routines and rules that you have in place for your pet will be followed in a way that ensures I don't undo any of the training you have worked so hard to develop with your pet. I have years of experience working with dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I also grew up in a multi-dog household, and have 2 years' experience house-sitting for multi-dog households as well. My husband and I currently have two cats, Sylvia and Daphne, and I am no stranger to having to clean up after animals, be it in a litter box, a yard or stress corner. It just comes with the territory! I think that in another life where I won the lottery I would have opened an animal sanctuary on a beautiful piece of land for abandoned pets. In this life, I act on this fantasy by caring for pets who mean the world to their families!

"The Boys" were all happy when we got home!
Kellin is a loving and nurturing mom to animals, whether they are her own or others'. I have seen her care for dogs and cats carefully and kindly and she so clearly cares for every animal she meets. She is responsible and kind and courteous, and I would trust her with any animal of my own.
Having witnessed Kellin as a dog caregiver, I can attest her love and passion for animals is unsurpassed. Bruno the Boxer is a finicky pup who's energy can be a little over the top. He requires a special lead during walks (and has a tendency to bolt when he gets excited). For some, Bruno is a lot to handle but Kellin has watched him for a few weeks every summer, spring break and winter break for three years without incident. She's one of the few house guests whom he respects and is genuinely excited to see! Kellin puts in the time and effort to get to know your dog and I can confirm that no pup is too much for her to handle.
Kellin is one of the most responsible people I know. She truly cares for the wellbeing of her pets. Last year, she was trying to adopt a dog of her own. The rescue organization where she adopted up the dog from had lied about the dog being cat friendly. Having two cats in the house, it was a necessity that the dog be cat friendly. Despite falling in love with the dog, Kellin knew that the best thing for its health and the health of her cats was to find another home for the dog, one that wasn't already occupied by another animal, and not returning it to the same place that tried to place a dog at any cost, not worrying about the longevity of the fit. It was the hard thing to do, but it was the right thing. I can always trust Kellin with those decisions.

Information Kellin C. would like to know about your pet
Before I care for any animal, I like to know the basics such as how they interact with people and other animals. I like to know if your pet responds differently to different people according to age, and gender, as some animals don't necessarily feel safe around certain people. I would also want to know how your pet may interact with other pets. Sometimes our pets just want to be the star of the show! I also like to know why you love your pet. What about them makes you love them? I want to be able to share that love when I care for them so your pet can feel at home with me.
A typical day
When I start caring for animals, I tend to keep our routine familiar. I think that over-stimulating a pet can happen even unintentionally when a new caregiver is introduced. After your pet becomes more comfortable with me (Maybe this takes five minutes or five weeks!), then I will take them on fun adventures owner-permitted! I think dog parks are wonderful for getting in social time and unleashing some extra energy. Going for a walk on one of the bike trails or in a park is also such a nice way to spend a walk too!
