Pet Nanny

Pet care experience

My previous dog, Lucy, was fearful reactive. This means she required a lot of patience and positive reinforcement. Every dog is unique, and I do my best to respect that. I want to help your dogs feel comfortable and happy while you are away from home. That is my number one priority. :) Growing up, I had gerbils, mice, fish, cats, dogs, and a rabbit. I worked at a pet store, which gave me more experience with other animals such as reptiles and amphibians.

Safety, trust & environment

It's important to me to make sure every animal and their human is comfortable and happy. If there is a certain routine you have for them, I do my best to go by that routine since I know animals can get used to that. I know it is hard to leave animals behind when you are out of town, so I do my best to make sure they get extra attention. I also love sending pictures to families to update them.

Information Kellie L. would like to know about your pet

I am open to all dogs! I would, however, like to know if your dog has any special needs or if they have any kind of "triggers." For example, my dog did not do well with other dogs or strangers. She would get very scared when around other dogs or people that she didn't know. I like to have this information so I don't accidentally put them in situations where they are afraid.

A typical day

Depending on preferences, I can take dogs on walks in the neighborhood or at a nearby park. If they like to play fetch or play with certain toys, I am happy to do that, as well. If your dog just likes to sit outside and enjoy the weather, I can also give them time for that, too.

I work from home as a therapist. Most of the time, my sessions are scheduled between 3:00pm and 7:00pm Monday through Wednesday. My schedule can change based on availability, but I have a lot of flexibility in the morning, early afternoon, and evening.
