The Best Care for Your Best Friend

Pet care experience

Enjoy peace of mind when you are out of town and your best friend(s) cannot join you. I will come to your home so your animals can continue their normal routine. Many animals suffer with anxiety when they have to board away from home. I can help! I am a kennel attendant at a veterinary clinic which gives me special expertise to care for your animal since I take care of dogs and cats that are boarding and post-surgery dogs and cats on a daily basis. I am also trained and able to administer pet medications so you can go out of town confident that your animals are being well cared for. Like I stated above, I work as a kennel attendant at a local veterinary clinic. My job is very similar to dog sitting in a home, but on a larger scale with more dogs at one time. I walk the dogs and feed them. I scoop after them and clean up after them. I do their laundry and wipe down their sleep areas as well as provide them with fresh/clean bedding each day. I administer any necessary medications and provide lots of pets and pats and snuggles and belly rubs! I have experience with in-home dog sitting for clients. I am also happy to take care of your cat too. If you are booking dog sitting and also have a cat, I will include the cat(s) at no additional fee. I truly look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! :) Why I love dog sitting I have loved dogs all of my life. Growing up, we had a Cocker Spaniel named Millie. My first dog as an adult was and is my dog Hazy. She is a 13 year old Border Collie mix that I got as an 8 week old pup. While she is slowing down slightly, she is still spunky and has energy. I work with dogs of all ages and sizes everyday at my job. I am a kennel attendant at a local veterinary clinic and my job duties include feeding and walking all of the dogs that are boarding or are hospital patients. I administer any medication(s) they may need. I clean up after them in whatever ways necessary; from scooping to providing clean bedding and wiping down their sleep areas. I also play with them and pet them and talk to them. I would be doing very similar things as your pet sitter. The only difference is that when I am at work, I have many animals to care for at once. I also take care of cats. If you have a cat in addition to your dog- it is no extra charge. If you just need cat sitting, I am happy to oblige for the same as the dog rate for overnight care or for drop in care $15 a visit. Also, for each additional dog there will be a $5 charge per night. My experience administering medication Yes. I regularly administer pet medications while working at the veterinary clinic and would be happy to do the same for your pet(s) at no additional charge.

Kelli did an amazing job taking care of our 2 dogs. We appreciated the daily pictures and contacts on how they were doing. It was evident that Kelli truly took care of our girls as well as grew to care for them. We would highly recommend Kelli.

Kelli is absolutely amazing!!! She came a month or so before we needed her to pet-sit to meet with us and our pets, which was wonderful to meet her beforehand. My husband and I were instantly comfortable with her. When she came to pet sit, she did everything perfectly and more than we ever expected! First off, she works in a vet's clinic and is a true animal lover - our dogs took to her instantly, and that rarely happens. They're usually wary around strangers, but not with Kelli! She kept in contact with us before the pet-sit and was extremely responsive. When she stayed at our place, she sent us a video and photos and updates so we knew all was well. When we got home, she had cleaned out one of our pet's kennels, changed the sheets on the bed and put them in the laundry and put dishes away and started the dishwasher! WOW! Talk about above and beyond! And our pets... it was so obvious that she had walked them, got them exercised and that they had been loved and cared for. I can't say enough good things about her. If you're thinking of booking her, don't hesitate, I highly recommend her, and you and your pets will adore her!!!

Kelli was amazing with our 2 Ragdoll cats. She made a point of meeting with us twice before her actual 10 days with the cats, so they would get to know her. She was loving with them, sent us e-mails with photos, they even slept on the bed with her! Our house was immaculate when we returned, plants watered, mail gathered, she didn't miss a beat. She is the most conscientious, competent, caring house/pet sitter that we could imagine. She is a 5 Star Plus!

Information Kelli S. would like to know about your pet

Before the actual sitting date, I like to meet with the client and dog(s) to do a walk through so I can learn how the client would like me to take care of their pet(s) and home. At that time, I would like to get emergency information such as the veterinary clinic name and phone number and information on dog and client preferences such as what to feed and when and how much. I like to know what the exercise routine is - does your dog play fetch, Frisbee, does your dog need to take it easy because of arthritis, etc?

A typical day

Time I'll spend with your dog This will be customized on a case by case basis as every dog has different needs. Generally though, I will sleep all night (at least 8 hours) at the residence with the dog. I will spend the morning with the dog which based on the needs of client and pet will include walking the dog or playing fetch, feeding, etc. There will be a mid-day potty break visit and then I would be back for the evening to stay again. All of this is adjustable based on client wishes. I will also send pictures to you with a daily update letting you know your best friend is receiving the best care. Extra house-sitting services I like to know if there are other tasks that my client would like for me to do such as picking up mail, watering plants, or taking garbage cans to the curb for example (no extra charge).
