I've taken care of pets since I was child. I have always loved animals, and my family has had animals since I can remember. I've cared for dogs, cats, small mammals, fish, birds, and horses. In college, I majored in Animal Science (livestock emphasis), and I worked at a pet boarding facility. I also petsat for family and friends. I have experience managing a large scale equine breeding farm, an equestrian program, and was a daily feeding/watering worker for an equine boarding facility. I have experience with rabbits, hedgehogs, birds, and fish as well. I currently have 3 pets: one senior dog and two cats. I have experience with a variety of age ranges from puppy to senior. I have experience with a lot of breeds and size ranges due to my time spent at a boarding facility, and my love of animals. I love spending time with animals so if your pet needs brushing, walking, bathing, playing, or attention while you're gone, I'd love to provide it!

Kelli was amazing in taking care of our golden retriever. We got picture and text updates daily so we didn’t have to worry at all. Would highly recommend Kelly and we will be using her in the future!!
Kelli has become one of our two regular dog sitters and does a great job with our Great Dane Brady!
Kelli was on time and professional. She communicated well and really put us at ease. She did a great job taking care of our pups and our guinea pigs. We were definitely impressed.
This was our first time using Kelli and she did wonderful! Took great care of our dogs (and cat!), was there when she said she would, asked if she needed to stay later on the last day at all pending our return time, and sent lots of pictures throughout her stay of the dogs! She even went out of her way to clean up a mess the cat made with her night time prowling so the dogs wouldn’t get to it!

I understand that each pet is different, and has different needs. I know some dogs love to have a ball thrown and play tug of war, while others prefer a good ear scratch or belly rub. I know some cats are quiet and independent, while others need some back rubs. I'd love to work with you to figure out the best schedule and needs for your pet while you're gone. This involves knowing what commands you use, if any, to keep things consistent for your pet. As a pet owner, I know that it can be worrisome to leave your pet while you're away. I don't want you to have to worry and would love to try to keep their routine as similar as possible along with sending you updates and pictures.

I want to know what's normal for your pet so I can keep an eye out for anything that may be of concern. I love all animals so I do not have a preference for size, breed, and age.
A typical day
I love to work with pets in different ways. I think it's important for pets to express their energy physically and mentally. I love to be able to play and walk your dog, while also working through some basic commands. I'm not a trainer by any means, but simple tasks like sit, down, and stay. If you have any commands or tricks that you like to do with your dog, please let me know so I can work with them. I also think attention is super important for your pet. Please let me know their favorite spots so I can make sure to love on your pet while you're gone. I always greet my dogs with rubs in their favorite places when I come home. If your pet has a favorite dog park or space to walk, please let me know! I'd love to be able to take them out to their favorite sites while you're away.

Availability
I currently work full-time, but I work from home on Thursday and Fridays so that means I can be with your pet during the day. I am also able to provide drop-in services during the day Monday-Wednesday. I have easy access to most of Northern Colorado so let me know your pets' favorite places to go. My weekends are usually free so I am super flexible with time if your pet is on a specific schedule.
