Snuggling, petting, walking, vacationing, sleeping, and generally doing most anything with a canine companion (or two or three) makes me happy. It would be a privilege to care for your dog/puppy and I will always strive to make the dogs I care for as delighted as they make me. At the current time I have two canine companions of my own. Maya is a one-year-old long haired shaded cream miniature dachshund, and Pepsi is a 2-year-old long haired standard dachshund. Some of their favorite activities (which also happen to be my favorite activities) include taking long walks, playing outside, playing with a squeaky chicken, playing with other dogs, and snuggling. Maya also likes to learn, and we are currently working towards therapy dog certification. My husband and I are both teachers, which means we leave pretty early in the morning and arrive back home in the mid-afternoon. When school is out during the summer we will be usually be home most of the day. We live in an apartment that is dog-friendly and clean. There is a large fenced-in patio, and several large grassy yards. We take frequent walks around the neighborhood and live near several metro parks and dog parks. If your dog comes to stay with us, we will strive to make our home your dog's home away from home. We will do our best to maintain any routines that your dog has, including feeding times, sleeping times, bathroom times, sleeping arrangements, etc.
