My name is Kelley, and I'm a life-long dog lover. My family has always had dogs and I'm currently caring for one of my own. I am located in Raleigh but am fully willing and able to travel throughout the greater Triangle area (Cary/Garner/Chapel Hill). I have open availability nights and weekends. I consider myself to be a very responsible person and will do whatever I can to ensure your pet is comfortable and well cared for while you are away. I have volunteered to stay with the pets of my friends and co-workers for days at a time, which included walking and feeding the dogs according to the owners' instructions. Because of my lifelong experience of being around dogs, I am aware of how to gauge their emotions and needs, and also recognize the importance of letting the dogs get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. I am aware that having someone else look after your pet involves a huge amount of trust, and I fully respect that and will make sure the pet is safe, healthy, and comfortable while the owner is away. I admittedly do not have any certifications or special training at the moment, however I am comfortable administering any necessary medication(s) to the pet if needed, and I have reliable transportation in the event of an emergency. Why I love dog sitting My parents have always owned dogs, and thus I've grown up around them for the entirety of my life. Their constant presence in my life has allowed me to appreciate the sheer joy of being around them, and has also taught me how to behave around dogs. For the past year-and-a-half, I have been caring for my own dog (a two-year-old mixed-breed named Nelson), which has given me a lot more hands-on experience with feeding, walking, and training.
