Safe & happy when you're away!

Pet care experience

With over a decade of experience in animal sheltering, I have handled dogs of all shapes and sizes. In addition, I have my behavior training certification. ———————————- COVID19 note: we are available to first responders, health care and medical staffers, and people who must be away from their pets. Please know we’ve got a system in place to comply with health protocols. I (Kelley) worked in animal sheltering and have both education and experience with herd health and zoonotic disease. ———————————- My husband and I pet sit as a couple, so you can be assured that someone is available to care for your dog when you're away. Now offering training! Request more information through a booking today– Pup Start classes, intermediate and advanced, Canine Good Citizen, aggressive and high arousal dogs welcome We know that your pets can be stressed when their routine changes. We work with your pet's schedules and daily routines to keep their stress levels low and the fun factor high! Our delight is knowing that your pet looks forward to seeing us. Feeding, walking, petting, playing, training. Daily pet care–your way! About this sitter: Kelley has over 20 years of experience in animal care and animal sheltering. She worked as the Executive Director of the former Brazos Animal Shelter (now Aggieland Humane Society), as well as a shelter in Flagstaff, AZ, and one in Auburn, WA. Why I love dog sitting I got my first dog when I was about 8. He was a Dachshund mix named Sam, and I snuggled him and rocked him to sleep tucked inside my coat on cold afternoons. Since then, I have worked in animal welfare, fostered, worked in a veterinarian's office, taught training classes, and cared for others' pets in my home and in theirs. Kelley Meet my pets Three small dogs About my yard Our backyard is fenced in and heavily wooded, the perfect playground for any pooch. We have separate dog runs where we can create appropriate play groups. My experience administering medication I have worked with animals for over 20 years and administered medications orally, topically, intravenously, and subcutaneously (shot under the skin) on many occasions (as well as administering the same to many of our own dogs).

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks Our home sits on an unpaved road in a rural area, the road covered with overhanging trees. A short walk to the end of the road and back is a little over a half a mile. For longer walks, we can stroll the trails at Lick Creek Park, visit the nearby Castlegate neighborhood, or head to other nearby neighborhoods. Your dog's sleeping arrangement This will depend on your preferences. Your dog, of course, will sleep indoors. We have a number of crates and wire kennels if your dogs needs/prefers kenneling at night. Time I'll spend with your dog This will depend on your preferences and your dog's regular schedule. Our goal is to reduce any stress your dog may have and increase your dog's happy factor. Please let us know what schedule you would like to keep. If you would like us to stay at your home overnight, we can arrange to do so. Please note, there is an additional charge of $35/night for overnight stays. Time I'll spend with your dog We are able to spend an hour during each visit to your home for up to 2 visits a day. If you require a 3rd, midday visit, we are available for approximately 15 minutes. Extra house-sitting services We offer: • mail service for home delivered mail • watering indoor plants • monitoring for packages delivered to your home • turning on and off lights for security
