Hey! I'm Keegan - I'm nonbinary & use they/them pronouns.* I'm an artist, activist, & creature lover. I've spent time with & caring for creatures (primarily doggos & kitties, but many others as well) beginning with my family's at a young age & for others since middle school. I got into house-sirting & animal care through accompanying my mom/sister during their stays. I began doing it on my own about 11 years ago. *Not familiar enough with pronouns use? I ask for basic written instructions (paper or digital) & emergency information so I can always refer to them if needed. Keegan is a wonderful sitter. So reliable p and so kind. I went into labor with our first human baby and Keegan was the first and only person I knew I could trust to help me with a supportive care plan for my dog (first dog baby). Cant thank them enough for the peace they gave me while I was in the hospital.
Believe my dogs love Keegan more than me now!
We have such peace of mind every time Keegan cares for our dogs. We know they are in good hands and it allows us to enjoy our time away without worry!
Keegan house sat while watching our two pups and kitty and gave them lots of snuggles, sent lots of pictures and left the house very tidy!

I have a calm presence, lots of patience, as well as years of practice with some gentle & positive reinforcement behavioral dog training. I have experience around older pups/kitties as well as needing to give medication(s) in a variety of ways. I love spending chill time with the pups & kitties while I'm staying with them, they'll get lots of pets & some good play time during my stay.

Let me know if your pup has any special needs or medications, what to do if something (emergency) comes up while you're away, how they are with other animals and people generally & on walks, feeding schedule & restrictions, and if they have any other habits or behaviors I need to look out for, etc. I'll also need basic things like your wifi information for myself. I'll ask for these things to be written down or written up digitally so I can always refer to them while you're away. Accurate as of August 2022
A typical day
If your pup has any favorite toys or activities, I'll be sure to encourage playtime but we'll also chill a lot while I'm around working on digital things or art projects (messes contained!). If your fluff(s) are up for walks we'll meander around the area together & go for fun little adventures where I'll take lots of pictures around the neighborhood if the pup(s) allow(s). They'll get lots of pets, some good massages, & treats.

Availability
I live with my partner & have an art studio in north admiral area & am self-employed. My motorcycle is usually my main form of transportation but it's currently out of commission until I can get it fixed up, so I'm on foot & bus these days. Though I will come and go for various errands, studio visits, to see my partner, etc, I will spend most of my time with your creatures. Ideally your animal(s) would be okay on their own for a handful of hours at a time for such things. Should the need arise we would need to request a Lyft/Uber unless you have a car available.
