I had a pit bull - and best friend - for 12 years. I lost her about 2 years ago and am just not yet ready to get another dog, but I SO miss having a dog and would love to be your dog's playmate for the weekend! I work heavy hours Mon-Thurs with only very early morning and late evening availability, but get out early on Friday and don't work on the weekends. So if you have a weekend getaway planned, I'd love to be your dog's companion! I love taking long walks, throwing the ball (tell your dog I play softball so my arm is good!), or just snuggling while reading a book or watching TV. I have lots of experience not only with my dog, but also watching friend's dogs (big and small) and I have used Rover in the past for myself so I know what it takes to make you feel comfortable (as much communication as you need and lots of pictures showing you your dog is having as much fun as you!). I am allergic to cats - I love them, but my lungs don't (asthma)! If you have a cat and would like me to sleep at your home to care for your pet, I would need to sleep in a room where the cat does not frequent often. **It's not listed on my availability, but I can do walks and check ins during the week early in the morning (between 5-6am) or after work (6pm pending travel time or later).
