Fur babies are my fave 🥰
Pet care experience
I’ve been a pawrent of large dog breeds for the last 15 years (labs, rotties, pitties, huskies, retrievers) and love helping dogs decompress, build social skills, and play!
Reviews
As always, very reliable and flexible. Feel very comfortable leaving our knucklehead with Keara!
Super friendly and made sure Jojo had a great day!
Keara took great care of Winston for daycare! He can be a nervous guy when separated from his humans, but he was in great hands. Our little guy recently had some dental work done so he just needed a comfy safe place to snooze and chill, and she took great care of him. So happy we have Keara around for when we need a sitter!
Keara really knew how to approach my fearful and anxious pup, who had a really hard time when I dropped her off. I can't believe my pup became as relaxed as she was at home after a couple hours, I didn't think that was possible! I'd give more stars if it was possible. What an amazing sitter!

Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I like to build trust on the dog’s terms and timeline, making myself available to play, cuddle or give them space (depending on what they are ready for). I’m a big fan of pawsitive reinforcement and I also give consistent cuddles, walks and social time to dogs that are okay being around other dogs.
Home
Information Keara S. would like to know about your pet
• what are your dog’s walking needs (how many times a day, for how long, should we avoid certain stimuli for reactivity?) • how would you describe your dog’s activity/energy level throughout the day (low, moderate, high)? • is your dog taking any medications currently? • does your dog have any behavioral history, needs or challenges that would be helpful to know in advance? • how does your dog handle separation anxiety?
A typical day
I typically start the day with an early morning walk/potty break. Then we have breakfast together and some play time. I love stocking my home with toys and treat puzzles. I have a Furbo to monitor behavior when I’m gone (mostly to report back to shelters when I’m fostering so they can paint an accurate profile for potential families). If able, I like to take dogs for some park time or on mini hikes so they have lots of new friends and spaces to sniff.

Availability
I currently work from home, so I can accommodate most feeding, walking and potty schedules (though also may need to work with quieter dogs to get through my zoom meetings). I have fostered dogs in the Bay Area for the last 2+ years. I love having the daily companionship (sometimes it feels too short when they find homes quickly) and seeing each dog’s personality bloom as we get to know each other. I currently have Sundays marked off on my calendar to strike a balance with services and my social life and to avoid long, long-term stays. That said, if you are a repeat client and I’ve already had a chance to get to know your dog and their care needs and energy levels, feel free to shoot me a message and we can talk about it! I currently take care of a dog each Monday and Wednesday during the day who is good with other dogs (though I’d like to set up a meet and greet in advance as possible to be confident). I currently walk another dog in town on Tuesday and Thursday each week, so for any doggy day care requests or boarding requests on those days, I will ask about how your dog handles separation anxiety and being left alone for about an hour ☺️
