My family and friends are usually impressed with how my dogs respond during training sessions and now it has turned into a fun hobby for me that I take a lot of pride in. I am always surprised how amazed people are with the basic training I do with my dogs but it makes me feel like maybe I have something more to offer. I have always loved dogs so much even as a kid and I knew one day I would have a house full of my own. I never knew how rewarding dog training would be until I got my own dogs. Now I realize that all a dog needs to succeed is love, consistency, something to keep them active and busy and a calm and confident leader they can rely on. I am not a dog trainer by trade it is just a hobby and it’s the very basic stuff to keep them safe and well rounded. If your looking for someone reliable, trustworthy and caring that can give your dog a safe and structured environment look no further. I am usually the friend or family member that takes everyone’s dogs when they leave town. I ended up caring for my in-law’s German shepherd dog for about 6 months because they had a house fire, I realized then that it wouldn’t be so hard to take in new dogs when people need the help.

We do not have a fenced in yard but it is a large area and with my dogs your dog will be happily entertained enough to stay in the yard. If they are prone to running off, I will accommodate by taking them out on leash if needed and alone if needed. I am happy to crate your dog when left alone and at night time, that is what I do with my puppy. My older dog is no longer in need of a crate so if you have a dog who likes company at night it’s the perfect set up. We have a very large living room and it the house is always picked up so it is puppy proof for the most part and I keep my eye on the dogs at all times to make sure they aren’t able to get into anything they shouldn’t.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or maybe even any triggers or things to watch out for. For example my dogs are territorial and will bark at any strangers that walk into the yard or house but they stop once they get a good sniff and check the people out a bit. If your dog is hesitant with strangers, kids, other dogs that approach or loud sounds like fireworks or motorcycles please let me know so I can do my best to make sure they feel safe and secure at all times.
A typical day
I love to work with dogs on obedience training in a fun light hearted way involving treats or positive reinforcement and consistency through the days I have them. Then we will enjoy the outdoors with the other dogs, playing fetch, swimming in the lake and playing outside with the kids from the neighborhood. We can go for walks around the neighborhood and visit some friends who live nearby, or we can hangout on the back porch with bowls of water maybe play in the sprinkler and have some treats :)

Availability
I am a stay at home mom and I run my own graphic design business from my home. I am here with my 7 year old daughter and our two large breed dogs (one is currently a 5 month old puppy). Our dogs are very good with other dogs and would be so happy to have another playmate. My daughter loves all animals and will be helping me make sure they are safe and cared for. We are available most weekends, some Wednesdays and Thursdays during the week. Having two large dogs, we will take one extra dog at a time. It will be no different for us to have an extra furry friend to take care of since we will already be doing many potty breaks, feeding, playtime etc anyway with our dogs.
