Pet care experience
I’ve always taken care of others cats/dogs for as long as I can remember! I was raised in a home that fostered and had multiple animals. When I moved away, I continued to foster for years. I’m currently working at a doggy daycare, so I have daily experience of caring for others pets. I can read animals body language very well and know how to deescalate tension between animals. I volunteered 15+ hours weekly at Southern Pines Animal Shelter and have experience giving medication to both cat and dog. I am an obsessed dog owner to a very active 1 1/2 year old Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix and a 1 1/2 year old flame point Siamese. I love all animals and am currently transferring schools, majoring in environmental biology to become a wildlife biologist! My motto is “treat them how you’d treat your own animals!”

Kaylie was very responsive, sent frequent/updates and pictures, and even gave my pup a bath before I picked him up. Chunk loved his time with her and her dog Bohdi. She is fantastic and I will book her again for as long as she’ll have Chunk back!
Kaylie was AMAZING! She sent me photos and updates regularly, and communicated well. She watched my pup on last minute and he had an absolute blast at her house with her dog. He came back so happy. Would definitely recommend

I have a spacious fenced in yard and live by many parks. I have a room that I designate the “cat” room to allow my cat space from my dog, if needed. I own two crates, large and medium sized, and my dog is kenneled when I’m not home. I firmly believe in the phrase, “leave it as you found it (or better!) If I am house sitting, I make sure to clean any messes made while i’m attending to your pets, including home cleaning and grooming for animals if needed/wanted.

A typical day
I love to train both cats and dogs of all sizes and ages, and I love exploring parks with my pup, though daily walks are taken around my neighborhood. I live a street away from a private park and only a couple miles from larger parks. I have a spacious backyard with toys and a small pool for the dogs. I also have a bucket full of interactive toys to stimulate your animals mentally and physically!

Availability
I am currently working at a doggy daycare, and my schedule changes weekly. I work three day shifts and two short overnight shifts. I go home to care for my animals during my lunch hour. I’m normally at home if I’m not working, so all my free time goes towards caring for your fur babies!
